A Look at Our Production Processes

How exactly do these precious tiny creations from the Wendt & Kühn workshops that have kindled such incomparable fascination come to be? Their origin lies in the rich collection of designs, samples, and sketches left behind by Grete Wendt, Grete Kühn, and then later Olly Wendt. To this day, they form the basis for lovingly handcrafted, faithfully produced pieces.

Our videos will give you a glimpse at our production process.

Angels for Children's Rights

For the first time, the Eleven Dot Angels in the special edition for the World Childhood Foundation have multicolored dots instead of eleven white dots on their wings. The painters in the manufactory apply them color by color and dot by dot with a dabbing stick.

Wise Owls

The Owls are a reissue from the company catalogue from 1930. Hardly any other group of figurines by Wendt & Kühn combines perfection in form and color so impressively. Their hand-painted finishes make the Owl figurines true masterpieces of craftsmanship.

Cock-a-doodle-doo!

Watch the video to see how the elements of the Cockerel's body are turned, painstakingly glued, and finally how the layers of paint are applied by the painters with a fine brush. Many careful hands are needed to bring this design to life.
